Should you place a complaint on a product or service to improve the place of business, or keep quiet and let them lose business for it?

It rather depends on the nature of what I intend on complaining about. I try to keep quiet whenever I can, so unless I stumble upon some rare computer glitch (or similar) that I doubt anyone will notice to report I'll probably will let other people do the complaining for me.

Absolutely yes.

May be approach it through a suggestion box or taking your boss into confidence (Unless he/she is the one you are complaining about.) You can get a lot better mileage this way rather than trying to do it on your own.

Good luck

Complain, if they don't know there is a problem, they can't fix it. If they won't fix it after you mention it, they won't ever succeed anyway, but at least you are giving them a chance to improve.

Suggestive criticism is great if done tactfully. I would complain if I really felt the need to do so.

tell them. I found that most places want your business and will address your concern if you approch them in a busines like manner and do not go off on them.
