I'm new here, and soooo many people are sooo deep in the closet, they won't need a coffin when they die. And when they do die, they won't be able to tell the difference. Total Queens, married with kids, Ms. Diesel, coordinating the cookie sale? It is twilight zone to have a woman totally cruise you, then have run home to start dinner for the family.
GET OVER YOURSELVES! YOU ARE WHAT GOD MADE YOU TO BE...MIGHT AS WELL ENJOY IT, LIVE IT, AT LEAST BY HONEST ABOUT IT!!!
Sorry 'bout that. I see gays and lesbians all the time. But, I am out and comfortable, and get avoided like the plague. I get lonesome for my tribe.

It takes a strong ego. . .and alot of support to come out. . .especially in a place where there are few people out. You are somewhat of a trendsetter in that you are out & comfortable. People will actually be able to look at you & feel more comfortable to make the decision to come out. All life is a process--and your presence is helping to liberate those feel social shame.

Well that was a nice rant. Now lets go back to the real world. Coming out is a personal choice for each person. And in the South it can be even harder because of the strong hold the ignorant people have there. Some do come out, not everybody is hiding, but it is their choice. There are also many people that still go to events and groups in the GLBTQ community that may not be "out" yet. The married thing is wrong cause they are living a lie that hurts not only themself but their spouse. If you want more people out then help the cause by supporting gay rights by voting and so on and be their friend.

Why do you care how some people choose to live their lives? If some homos in the South choose to live deep within the closet, is it any of your business? The sooner you get over the notion that there's some kind of GLBT "community" the sooner you'll realize that there's more to you than who you want to have sex with. Your "tribe" may be based on other things beyond your sexual orientation.

Canola is gentle and does not go away the disagreeable greasy suppose within the mouth. Corn oil additionally works nice. Vegetable Oil is also inexpensive in view that it's honestly a combo of any of the above oils (mill overruns?). For deep frying, canola works good. We are utilizing it in our inn. It has a top smoking factor (Oil is alleged to arrive its smoking factor while it starts to emit smoke, and lots of oils have a flash factor very nearly the smoking factor, which means that the oil can probably trap fireplace) and the flavour is impartial. Enjoy!

Coming out is someones personal business.
I am only out to my friends and family. I don't discuss my personal business with family I never see, acquintances or people I work with. I don't feel it is my responsibility to waive a rainbow flag where ever I go.
I go to gay bars.
I volunteer for a charity trying to pass gay marriage.
I write my legislators about gay issues.
I attend prides.
I attend events at my local gay/lesbian community center.
And I'm fine with it.

coming out is not the same for everyone. i think that in the south, the culture is more conservative and traditional so tolerance is at a minimum. for myself, i feel that my sexuality is not anyone's business and just because i don't flaunt it, doesn't mean that i'm not proud to be a lesbian. sometimes, i would just rather avoid confrontation

It's harder to face the crowds in some parts of the country. I've never lived in the South, but I've heard stories.

I moved to Ga. from Fl, and let me tell you. In Fl. people were out and it did not matter, but here in Ga. WHOA!!!! CLOSETED BIG TIME, I think they are going by old school(you can't be gay, you have to marry and have children etc:), maybe one day they will realize it is ok to be themselves without fear of harrassment

I'm not gay, but I fully agree with you! You should never act differently than what you are. Stand proud and strong in who you are and let the others be damned for their judgement.
