I used to have a close friend. We fell out, badly, & for some time she made my life hell, saying things about me, shouting at me, accusing me of all sorts. We had both done wrong. I decided to stay out of her lfie for good, but for some reason she seemed determined to make my life miserable for some time.

After some time she calmed down on the abusive front, but there were long-lasting effects. I used to regularly go down to the local student pub with my friends, but I've been out once since 'the fall-out', & I find myself constantly scared. I make excuses so I don't have to risk maybe finding myself in the same place as her, like even cancelling on other good friends who know us both etc.

Leeds Festival (big outdoor music festival in the Uk, camp overnight etc) is soon, & we both have tickets. I'm scared of being somewhere near her. Thing is, my boyfriend really wants me to go. I want to go to be with him, and because its great, but I don't know if I can do it. Opinions please.

What a horrible situation, and, luckily, I can say I don't know how you feel because I've never been in this kind of situation. My only experience is having to be around people I don't really like. Then I try to ignore them as much as possible. You say you would be going with your boyfriend. Hopefully there you have some protection. Besides, there'll be lots of other people there so who knows you might not even see her. It's up to you whether you want to go or not. If you do decide to go try not to worry too much and try your best to have a good time. Lots of luck.

Def go, its unlikely she would see you and even if she does its VERY unlikely she would do anything. Your bf would surely look after you if there was any bother anyway. Go and enjoy the gig (I went 3 yrs ago, superb) and get this girl outta your head, go on with life, its to short to worry about silly people making silly trouble. Hope you have a GREAT time

Dont let her ruin your life,
if she does start on you when your at the festival
totally ignore her that hurts Bully"s more,
because thats all you can call your ex best mate.
When she is older and more mature she will realise
how childish she has been,
I got bullied when i was young,
the justice was the bully"s daughter got bullied
hope it all goes well for you and just remember,
it must hurt her or she would let it rest .
take care

Harrassement is a crime. If you have genuine reason to fear her or your life is being affected by her, you need to report it to the police. They will take it seriously. If on the other hand it's just tit for tat she may feel the same in which case you must both stop being silly.

You have as much right to be there as she does, I understand what you are saying but don't let her ruin any more of your life. Don't let yourself be bullied by her or anyone.
