Quick answer, it will work.
Although, your library will be on your Windows machine so you may encounter some problems transferring it across, especially if it is one of the newer Macs that run with Intel processors. When I say problems, I mean rather difficulties than problems because it is possible, just difficult. It is really technical but because MacOs is based on Linux, it can be done.
When you switch on your new Mac and open iTunes, it will immediately recognise the iPod and that it has been formatted on a Windows machine. It will prompt you to re-format it on the Mac but this will mean that you will lose all your music.
So, make sure you know how to transfer your music files across so that when you do format your iPod to use with the Mac, you can just click the update button and it will back to normal.
This may all sound like a big unnecessary hinderance but trust me, Apple was meant to run hand in hand with Apple so your iPod will feel much better when it is formatted from a Mac

I have an iPod and it's not set up specifically for Mac or Windows. It should work, you'll have to find a way to transfer all of your music from Windows iTunes to the iTunes program on your Mac, best bet would probably be an external drive. Since Apple makes Macs, I don't see why your iPod wouldn't be compatible with the Mac.

Install the iPod software on your mac, then use a flashdrive to transfer the songs and movies to the mac. Then just plug in your ipod and update the software to change from PC to mac.

Yes it will but as you can't use one iPod on more then one computer you have to De-Authorize from your Windows machine before switching to Mac.
1. Plug your iPod to your Windows computer
2. Run iTunes application
3.From "Advanced" menu choose an option "Deauthorize Computer"
When you switch it on Mac you have to authorize it again in order you can use it.

You cant do almost as many stuff on the zune and the zunes are thicker and arnt as sturdy many times. the zune is a very undesirable opponent for the ipods. So decide for the ipod touch
