That's difficult, especially today with the demand and assumption for MORE MORE MORE. 18 year old boys HATE anything like knick-knacks, Xmas ornaments, or anything that has his name engraved...such as Happy 18th Freddy on a plaque.

My best advice, however, is to get him a cool pair of stainless steel looking sunglasses that are contemporary, maybe with tinted lenses. Most guys like that.

A book that he'll enjoy for teh rest of his life, put a nice inscription inside. Books are always a good choice at any age
