Hairy butts smell. Shave or not to shave?

Because a long time ago, our ancestors didn't wear clothes, the only thing they had was the hair on their body. They needed hair everywhere, includng the butt, to help stay warm. Through evolution, the hair has become finer and finer on most people. Give it a few hundred or thousand years, and humans will prolly be completely hairless on the body.

Because people evolved to have hairy butts in the ice age and now we're evolving to lose it I suppose. Although scientists are saying that in about 100 years the world is gonna start getting colder again. That means hairy butts will get hairier unless we keep 'em warm. LOL.
Also, before man wore clothing, hairy butts were a way for man and woman to tell if they were ready to have children.
But if you live in a warm place, shave it off. Ya don't need it.

Why we have hair in the places we do is a bit of a mystery. It is thought that our early ancestors spent an amount of our time in water. Hence we have a lot of things in common with water mammals, all new borns can swim, we can mate face to face, we can close our throat to stop water pouring into our lungs, we have no innate fear of water but we do heights. Similarly the hair pattern on water loving mammals is supposed to be similar. The head, whiskers and genitals. Do seals have hairy genitals?

Men don't really loose their hair. This is a myth. Hair is nomadic, and travels from the head, down the back, to the southern end. This is why we have hair down there.
O.K. Not a very scientific answer...but it got me to level four.
