getting pregnant actually depends on when you ovulate. some women ovulate during their period, while others may do so between cycles. a doctor can moniter you to determine exactly when your ovulation occurrs each month. everyone is different, but yes it is possible to become pregnant on your period, and if you are not ready for a baby, you should be using some form of contraceptive, no matter what time of the month you have sex.

Yes it is definitely possible to get pregnant during your period. Because sometimes the egg is ready to be fertilized before you have finished your period....
Your period is basicly the crumbling of a bloody wall that builds in your uterus in order to protect a (possibly) fertilized egg (a baby). This is why you USUALLY don't bleed while you are pregnant because the body tells the wall to stay there to help protect the baby.
When your system sees that you are not after all pregnant it destroys the egg, heats up your uterus, melting away the blood.
But sometimes the blood is enough to expand the lifetime of the sperm enough to wait until you are ovulating again.
I have heard that you shouldn't trust the last three days of your menstrual cycle. Those are the days in which the egg might have already prepared.
You need to learn how to track your menstrual cycle to know which days you are ovulating and which days not.
Now another very important thing you should know....YOU SHOULD NOT BE HAVING SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM!!! Are you really willing to risk getting a disease? Do you want to risk getting pregnant? Come on, don't do this to yourself. USE A CONDOM ALWAYS ALWAYS, NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!

Yes, you can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex during your menstrual period because making love within five to six days before ovulation can lead to a pregnancy. Pregnancy is possible any time during your menstrual cycle, even during your menses, because ovulation can happen any time. And if you have sex within five to six days before ovulation, sperm may survive inside the uterus and fallopian tubes until you ovulate. When you have a short menstrual cycle, ovulation occurs much earlier than Cycle Day 14. For example, with a 21-day-cycle you ovulate on day 7 after the LMP, so making love on CD 2 can get you pregnant.

Yes you can get pregnant while on your period. You can get pregnant any time. Chances are just higher when you are ovulating. You need to use protection if you don't want to become pregnant.
