The reason for its being in the sling is not given; however, a sling is used to stablize the arm after an injury...so one could adapt to the situation by participating in games where physical demands are less required...in other words, more mental and less physical activities.

It should not affect your ability to shop for music; visit museums or art galleries; one could feasibly attend movie theatres and or sporting events ... even with an arm in a sling.

Someone who wore a cast for an extensive period stated that use of a pillow underneath their cast was helpful and provided some reduction of the fatigue associated with a stabilized limb.

As a technique used in hospitals, one may take a small plastic bag and use a skin friendly tape to secure it around the affected area to provide opportunities to shower, bathe, or visit a pool. If you do not have a cast and more than one sling available for use, you could probably stand or sit at the edge of a pool using guarded or defensive posturing at public pools.

Get well soon...

you could play putt-putt or "goofy golf" as some call it. just hope it's not your dominant arm that's in the sling. if it is...you'll at least get a good laugh out of TRYING to play. hehehe
