I would start with Ireland being as how it is the nearest European country to your U. S of A. for one reason. Nobody seems to count Ireland as part of Europe and it is the MOST European country of all

First I would go to Norway and see the fjords because that is where my ancestors came from. Then I would head to the Swiss Alps because I've heard it's the most beautiful place on earth. I'd stop by Ireland to have a pint of Guiness at a pub with the locals. I definately want to stroll through Rome in the evening... oh, geez, there is no place in Europe (including Eastern Europe) that I don't want to visit at some time in my life...

I would choose Moscow (if you count it as Europe) and St. Petersburg. Why? Because everything is so big! Huge buildings, huge squares, huge streets, great museums, Russian people,... I'm from Europe, and lots of cities are somehow packed (if you know what I mean); it's not bad, but I would like to experience the grandeur of Russia.

I have been to Switerland and let me tell you.... It is sooooo nice! You really don't hear a lot about it but the people are great and it is really clean... Make sure you go to Lucerne.... Gorgeous!!!

If you are looking for historical sites you can't go anyone better than Italy... You can spend days in Rome and make sure to go to the Castel de Sant Angelo... You get a complete view of the whole city and you can even have a snack along the top level of the fortress.

I've been to:
London - the best - everything was great.
Paris - also very awesome - see Palace of Versailles
Rome - rude people and very hectic - not as easy to get around as Paris and London
Venice - Greatest city in Italy
Frankfurt - cosmopolitan - should have seen some smaller towns but nice.
Would like to see Greece, Spain, and Egypt next.

Rome would be top of my list as I loved it the last time I went and swore to go back again. Its really where modern Western society began and answers so many questions on human history and religion in particular.

Paris and London. Everyone should see the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Versailles before they die. London is a very sophisticated city with wonderful museums and you can tour the palaces.
