Everyone knows that there is a very real threat of terrorism and it is not going to go away for a long time so it may be a good thing to try and figure out where it is most likely to happen next.

The only reason I think this Q is inappropriate is because we don't need to be giving them any ideas. Let's not do their thinking for them. There are myriad ways a clever terrorist could commit mass murder, many more clever and potentially much more devastating than 9/11. Fortunately there are not too many clever terrorists left, we seem to be targeting them specifically, and that's a good thing. By discussing potential targets in a public forum like this you may be giving our enemies food for thought.

No, I think it is an appropriate question. The fact is we are still under a very real threat of terrorism and we should consider where the next target is and how to thwart that attack.
I do believe it will continue to be in high profile targets. You get more bang for your buck that way. Most likely in another large city such as LA, Chicago, or Miami. I do not think they will hit NY again. It has more impact if they find a new target. I also don't think it will be through planes the next time. I suspect they will either use another form of mass transit or look for other other large structures they can target. However, planes are a possibility since they did prove so effective during 9/11.

I have listened to many politicians, from both sides, and they both feel that the ports are in the biggest danger of being hit. They have said that they feel that homeland security is not getting the money they feel it needs to protect the ports. Things are coming in on ships all the time and only random cargo holds are being inspected. The others pass through without a second glance. So, they feel that something may come through the port, but be used elsewhere.....where? They aren't sure. The whole idea is scary and I think with the way things are going it may only be a matter of time. I really hope they keep nabbing these guys who are in the middle of planning attacks, and I really hope nothing else does happen. Like you said, "God forbid."

IF? Oh come on friend, it isn't a question of IF, it is ONLY a question of WHEN? As long as America and Britain keep up this policy of trying to be the world's policeman it is anyway.
As to where?Well, London would be a prime target. It is the easy option isn't it, because Europe is easy to get into and easy to move around in once you are here, so it would be far easier to bring weapons with you. On the other hand, if they can find another elegant way to "borrow" weapons, or fashion weapons out of locally available materials, then they might do New york again.

I think it is a valid concern... Why should it be reported? Discussion of these things is what keeps people aware of the potentiality of it.
They have already tried and were caught. The Lincoln Tunnel, the bridges and the major spans and buildings are always going to be their main objective. They are most populated and cause the most devistation to life and function within society. Terrorists, to be stopped have to be considered, thought about and counteracted by knowledge of their thought process and intentions.

As a UK resident i feel us, i.e parliment, buckingham palace, Big Ben, Trafford Centre in Manchester. I was in Manchester when we got bombed by the IRA and it wasn't nice. I hope no-one but unfortuantly it has to be some one. Fingers Crossed every one and pray it's not us.

The recently foiled plane bombings with liquid bombs. Something like that designed to create maximum terror and huge casualties leading to the public refusing to use the mode of transportation and causing wide spread paniic
