Yes, there is a chance. It largely depends on the length of her cycles; if she has very short cycles the chances are higher. If fertile cervical mucous is present, indicating that ovulation is approaching, sperm can live for up to 5 days within the female reproductive tract. If she was to ovulate on Day 12, intercourse from Day 9 could do the trick. If her cycles tend to be on the longer side, you're probably safe.
If you're within 72 hours, talk to Planned Parenthood about emergency contraception just to be on the safe side.

Yes there is a chance. The 10 day theory only works if your girlfriend has a "normal" cycle and she ovulates like clockwork. My periods were very regular and my husband and I were using the rhythm method (a method where you count the days after your period to predict ovulation) to prevent pregnancy... I am now 34 weeks pregnant. Keep in mind that the chance is very small, but that chance still exists.
If she is pregnant you should treat the life inside her like a precious miracle, not an unwanted disease.

yeah, but look - stop worrying about things like that unnecessarily. There are precautionary pills she can take to ensure no embryo would be borne of that union. I think it's called the morning after pill. Check with the doctor.
Don't believe myths, by the way. that first 10 days crap is for the birds.

There is always a chance of pregnancy, some girls ovulate before others. all you can really do is wait until her period and see if she misses it or even if it comes and isn't normal she could still be pregnant, have her take a pregnancy test then or get a blood test! good luck!

You can get pregnant anytime. There is no such thing as safe unprotected sex. She could still be pregnant. Go buy her a test.
