I have watched Doctor Who from the very start in the 60's and I think David Tennent is everything the character should be. He is a credit to all those who have gone before him. Hes also gorgeous.

lol a 17 year old new fan? Cool. This is exactly what the series was intended to do - reach out to new young audiences. Personally of the two, I preferred Ecclestone to Tennant, but we'll see how he does in Season Three. We've got a new companion coming in, but very few details on what her character will be like yet.

Season Two...I think the writing was patchy, as though no-one's quite sure who this tenth doctor is yet, and what he's like. New Earth was a big shrugworthy. Tooth and Claw. Phnerr. Rise of the Cybermen and Age of Steel - better, competent, good scares, though a little rushed, with not as much character development as I'd have liked. Girl in The Fireplace - Innnteresting concept, would have liked it stretched to two episodes to give some better reason for the androids to be chasing Whatserface de Pompadour. Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit were very interesting, and really helped really show some of the new doctor's potential. School Reunion - bit of a gimmick story. Idiot's Lantern too gave him a bit more character. Love and Monsters was just pure silliness, but nice and touching silliness. And the final two-parter - wishe they hadn't brought the daleks back, it totally took away from the threat of the Cybermen.

Looking forward to season 3 - would like to see the return of at least one other old enemy - the Sontarans would be cool. More chills would be good, less stupidly-named and CGId monsters - WTF were the Krillitanes all about? In the meantime, there's the launch of the spin-off show, Torchwood, with Captain Jack Harness in, and the Christmas special, the Runaway Bride.

Here's hoping David Tennant - who has enormous Doctor potential - can get some better scripts for season 3.

As a long time fan of Dr Who (born three days before it started) i have to say i love this new Doctor but the stories have not been quite as good as Ecclestons! Granted 'Girl in the fire place' was the best Dr Who / science fiction on TV ever! Sadly the Cybermen didn't quite work for me; you have to watch all four episodes together as a feature film for it to work. It was great to see Graeme Harper directing the show again and slowing it down to a better pace and not spoiling it with pop video style editing.
I am being hyper critical of New Earth, Tooth and Claw, The idiot's lantern and Love and monsters when I say they didn't really hit the mark - great ideas that didn't quite do it and felt rushed.
The imposible planet and Satan Pit worked just fine.
What the hell, mustn't moan. Thank Rusty T Davis it's back. What's awaiting the Doctor? My guess is the return of the Sea Devils. I believe a DVD comentary has been done for the Pertwee story so where there's smoke there's usually fire and a DVD release would tie in with their return.
Any chance of the Master? Perhaps? And the Time Lords all dead. I doubt it.

You are just a young wench. I have lived long enough to see ALL the doctors and I can assure you miss that David Tennent is adequate but not superb as the doctor. At least he's been made to speak with an English accent, so we have no more of the Sylvester McCoy cack. Oh and by the way, I take it that you are not much of a Doctor Who fan if you don't know who the "other guy" as you put was!!! For your edification it was of course the suberb and talented actor Christopher Eccleston.

nicely, for the reason that Tennant has reported in a cutting-edge interview that he knows how many sequence he needs to do, and could be there for a protracted on the same time as yet, i think of its very not likely he would be going after the subsequent sequence. The Actor i could particularly desire to make certain taking over from him while he does bypass, regardless of if, is Mark Gatiss. Gatiss has already looked in the sequence as Professor Lazarus, has written for the sequence, has written a DW novel and is a existence long wellness care provider Who fan, besides as being an extremely effective character actor. i think of he could be suitable for the area. interestingly Russel. T Davies favours Michael Sheen (who performed Tony Blair in "The Deal") for the area of the eleventh wellness care provider inspite of the incontrovertible fact that. So it is going to possibly be him, assuming he nevertheless needs to do it by ability of the time Tennant leaves. The worst determination for the wellness care provider could be somebody who wasn't a extreme actor. maybe a comedian or television presenter who has little or no adventure in a dramatic place. additionally i think of a woman could be a brilliant mistake because it may completely contradict universal canon. So in basic terms off the genuine of my head i will say Davina McCall.
