what I think you are asking is for sometging to convert DVDs to a format that will fit on a standard CD-Rom.

For Windows you need four programs. all of which you can download on the internet.

You need:
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0
DGIndex v1.2.1
AviSynth 2.56
VirtualDub 1.6.12

All of these you can find at the website below, along with instructions and a very helpful forum.

For MAC OSX you only need two programs.
Mac The Ripper (for ripping the DVD)(hard to find, and illegal in the US)
Handbreak (for compressing to avi or mp4)

You might also want the newest DiVX codec for video and the newest LAME codec for audio. These are available for both platforms.

The Mac way is easier than the Widows way, but I guess you gotta work with what you have.

Just remember, don't break any laws. (Copyright, DMCA, etc...)

I'm not sure what you want. There is not such thing as a DVD converter, as far as I know. If you have a DVD recorder, that's all it can record. The laser beam and the algorhythms are different for DVD's than for CD's. If you have a DVD-RW in your computer you should already be able to burn CD's on that.
