Do you rent or own? Is the smell from a leak in the house or something other than you maybe spilling something? If you rent and don't know what is causing the smell you need to call the landlord and tell him to come figure it out and clean the carpets. If you caused it then what is it from? Mildew smell means mold so you're gonna need to get them cleaned ASAP before the pad and carpet needs replaced.
