I am 23 years old, but I at 5'3, I am kind of petite, and I am pretty young looking, most people think I am 19 or 20. I would like to be taken seriously, because I have a baby and I am married. People always think the car that I drive is my parents ( it's a large mercedes) and I can't be taken seriously if I want to make a purschese like fine jewlery, a car etc. People think my husband ( who is 28) is younger too, but he is always in suits because he is a businessman, but it would be silly for me to always be in a suit, I do wear sophisticated makeup and have a sophisticated hair cut, but when I dress down, people always think I am younger. What should I do?

Just because you aint a business woman doesn't mean you don't have to dress up everyday. I use to have the same problem. But I don't wear makeup and I keep my hair in a ponytail. I got so tired of people thinking I'm younger so I started wearing my hair down everyday and putting on clothes even when I'm going to the post office I put on clothes. So my advice to you is always put on clothes don't never look down and people will start taking you seriously.

Change the way you look with the way you dress. Thats the best you could do. Your image is something to be looked at. What ever height you are you just right and then people will have different opinions about you. Be happy that people think your young, not every woman gets that compliment.

just act ur age and hope people will perceive u like that. On the other hand look at it from the point of view that when people get older they wish they looked younger so i guess it will be a bonus in a couple of years... hope this helps...x

Maybe wearing heels would help (with jeans?). But then again, your a mother of what I'm guessing is a baby... ooo, nvm, it says baby. So, heels are hard. (lol, though, still wear heels. being a mom is no excuse not to be sexy!) Of course, its only 3/4 years difference... that's not a lot. I'm sorry... I hope you find a better answer... :-( Good luck on your marraige and baby! :-D
