Either that or you just aren't paying attention.

Yes, but if you are crazy you might be diagnosed with paranoia which you got from being outraged because there are so many things to be outraged about. If you were outraged, you couldn't be crazy because any sane person would be outraged.

The bumper sticker reads, "If you aren't outraged, you aren't paying attention."

I used to agree with that. Now, however, I have just changed my expectations. I pretty much expect people and entitities to be unjust, unfair, conniving, hypocritical, and so forth ... and so when any person or entity behaves well, I am totally surprised and delighted.

This altering of expectations has diminished my outrage tremendously. I mean, I just expect people to be people. You can't imagine the vast revolution within that something like this provides.

It is easy to find yourself in a "constant state of outrage", I have to balance. I am politically active but then I work with other people just to keep the flames of rage from consuming me. I do avoid all press, still know the shape of things and if I really need to know something it will reach me, and I do everything I can to stay busy in helping others which is quite therapeutic.

I assume you are talking about the mess this country is in. And yes, if you are not outraged about the war, the mass murder in the name of liberation, the ever climbing war debt, gas prices and the lack of committment to alternate energy, and the economy in this country, you are as stupid as some of the idots who give comments to your question. I am outraged by it all!

I am crazy, but at the moment, I'm not outraged. Therefore, in this instance, I guess the answer is "yes".

I asked a simple question about Angelina Jolie and people jumped on my *** to defend her. Where's the defense of people who really need it? I think Angelina would agree. Outrageous.

Protesters in San Fran are outraged, and they ride their bike around naked. Honestly, they look more crazy than those who aren't.
