Ok, basically I normally right click on a link to get a new browser window opened. Now, whenever I do this, there will be two windows for a second, then the old window will close and the new window is the only one left open. This also happens when I select New Window from the file menu. How can I fix this?

Ctrl + N just results in the same issue--a new window pops up, and quickly replaces the old one.

I'm running IE, if it helps at all.

I think the website you're accessing does not allow you to open a new window from there. To verify, try the right-click on a different website.

If the right-click doesn't work for any other websites as well, then you'll need to re-install or upgrade IE.

To re-install, go to Control Panel, double-click on Add or Remove Programs, click on Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Explorer box, click Next. This will un-install. Repeat the steps and check the Internet Explorer box this time. This will re-install IE.

To upgrade, download and install an updated version of IE from Microsoft downloads page.

You can try doing CTRL-N to spawn a new window. It might help to know what browser ou are using.
