Call your local colleges admission department. They have a test you can take that will help you narrow down what your interests are and what jobs your interests are best suited for.

And relax... the decision you make today does not have to be forever.. if you find out later you don't like it you can do something else. But don't quit the first time something bad happens.

I'm an RN but I had my hips replaced and can no longer do all of the running required of a hospital nurse... so I'm going back to college to get a paralegal degree so that I can work on medical/criminal cases.

Don't forget.. you can always make lemonaid if life hands you a lemon!

I changed tons of jobs and I found that the best choices are made when:
(1) You ignore the money factor (salary, wages etc)
(2) You do what you wanted to do as a kid
(3) You choose a job that you would love to do without pay, that is FREE (sounds weird, but helps to nail down your true calling!)
(4) You choose a job that you would pursue if you had $1,000,000 in the bank
(5) When you imagine that you're 75 years old and you're talking to your grandchildren. What would you like to tell them about your former job? How would you like to have spent the best years of your life?

In short, go for your passion and hobbies; and forget about the money. If you're good at what you do and really enjoy what you're doing, the money will always find a way in!

Apply to the US Department of State Foreign Service. They're always desperate for languages, give extra points on salary for it, and you can be posted anywhere in the world and apply to move around any time you like. They have SUPERIOR training and benefits. I went through the whole process up to the face to face testing and interview in Washington DC (didn't make it, though). If you have a clean background for the last ten years to clear the Diplomatic Security check, and can pass the extensive physical testing (they don't want you to shrivel up and die overseas), it would be a great experience.

You could be a travel guide to the 4 countries in which you are fluent in . You could work as a translator on a cruise ship . You could be a rocket scientist with all the math you have also . The world is pretty wide open to you .
