I use the usual "I just lost track of the time." I attend a lot of sporting events so I can also use "overtime" as an excuse. The truth is I did everything I could to stay away from the house because I was so sick of coming home to him and his complaints. He could not really respond to the overtime answer, and he may have gotten angry at the lost time answer. However, he knew that complaining more about it would result in me coming home even later the next time.

I see... you try the english one too, hehehe...

Well, as i said in the spanish version of your question, i answered you in the french version, so i'm not gonna repeat myself, surely you must be busy looking at your same question left all over the place...
and you must be quite desperate for an answer.... and looking for some good "alibi"

PS: NEWTONSTUB... don't be too hard on her re her english... i beleive she's french, she's just making an effort speaking your language... and she seems quite desperate for some good lies.... if you have any to give her (I personnaly don't)
