My girlfriend had one in her old apartment...it was really comfy and cushy...and nice and warm because of the heater inside the water mattress which keeps the water warm (you wouldnt want to sleep on a mattress filled with chilly water). I always slept well on that bed.

The downsides of water beds are..

-They are very heavy when filled (make sure the floor can take it!)
-They can sometimes spring leaks or get punctured.
-Its easy to disturb your partner by moving around too much (as movement causes waves in the water).
-They need to be burped from time to time as air bubbles form in the mattress.

We now have a regular mattress!

Dont have one but slept on a friends for a week.To tell the truth I felt cold all the time it was Summ er so I didnt think to heat it up.Not more comfortable than a regular bed.
A bad point about them is the dust and uck that collects in the seams.
Wouldnt get one myself.

I slept in one for a week and to be honest I would rather spend the money on a good bed and mattress

My parents had one but sent it back as my Dad was too worried about the weight and that the ceiling in the room below started to sag.

My Mum loved it though.

Never been on one but i would imagine that they would be reasonably comfortable due to the water and flexiblity.

I used to have one, its ok if you are going to use them once in a while, but you cant sleep over them for a lifetime.
