I will soon be getting a 1989 chevy silverado. Is there any main problems with a 1989 chevy silverado that may be due to some sort of manufacturing default that I may need to fix?

Also, has anyone or does someone own/owned one that can tell me what kind of problems they had with it, big or small?

it has a bogus RWAL ( Rear wheel anti lock brakes) that will kick a brake light. other than that i had a 89 3/4 ton fleet side i converted into a dually and lowered it to the ground. To change the stereo you have to move it, no biggie they have kits. the ac can be a pain if you lose freon, you have to reset the ac control panel. other than that i love my chevy trucks

I have owned one it was a 3500 4X4 I would have the catalic converter removed mine would run shitty until I had this done. But the engine was weak because they only had fuel injection for about 3 or 4 years in 89.
