Why??? because the human race is very shallow that's why. you have to be easy on the eyes in order to fit in and all i have to say is man it sucks for the people who don't fit the bill. trust me i know.

well, i'm def proof that that isn't true. i don't think i'm that pretty, but i def have a lot of friends & stuff. i think "popular" means having tons of friends, not the shallowy type where they look beautiful & have the football bf & stuff. what u need 2 do is STOP caring what others think about u. it's hard, but it really does work. then, take more interest in other ppl. that way, u'll have something 2 chat w/them about. when ppl see how confident u r, they'll be more attracted 2 u. u should also get more inovlved in after-school activites. u can always make more friends that why, thus making u more "popular." i've been doing this since the 6th grade & it's always worked for me!

You don't.When I was in school some of the prettiest girls I knew were anything but popular and we had some real mingers who everyone loved.Would you rather be popular and have the insecurity of not knowing whether people were slagging you off behind your back(as all "popular" people do)or would you rather have a bunch of mates who will stick with you through thick and thin?I know which I would prefer.

not so true, but when we are young in school, and i am guessing that you are in school, we like to "see pretty people" because we like to look at them, that in respect makes them popular. You should think that why do people harass pretty things? would that question help you find the end answer that you need?

In the end it doesnt matter what you look like it's who you are that matters in the end.
No offence it just a youth thing I guess, I went through it and and always seemed to be at the bottom. But now the table has turned and now it me on the top.

you don't, but it helps if you are, or your friends are. foregoing that, being absolutely hilarious or freakishly talented in some way helps. people flock to the popular people because they have something others dont - be it talent, or beauty, or money.

trust me you dont! If you honestly look at those "popular" people are they honestly all that good looking?? be honest are they? They may seem to be just because they believe that they are and therfore their confidence makes other believe that they are also.

Ah.......No.....you don't. You have to be a nice person with a good heart who has self-respect, personal boundaries, willing to help a friend.....things like that. But, even if you are not the prettiest girl, people pay attention how you take care of yourself.....it matters.

its all superficial, so called pretty girlz(not nice inside). the real pretty girlz are the nice ones but in skool or college it dnt mean much, you gota hang with the rite people to be popular.
