The Replacements and all the offshoots, Paul's solo stuff; Tommy's Village Gorilla Head is pretty good; and that would include Slim Dunlap's work as well. They remind me of home and they're fun and I love Paul Westerberg's lyrics and it's garage-band music which means it's imperfect and I love that and well, it keeps a lot of options and they have a fairly large catalogue and they rule!

and, in reality, that is pretty much what I listen to exclusively, just add a little more Cheap Trick, Garbage, Elvis Costello and stir.

Glen Miller was considered the greatest band director etc in the U.S. History.
Now, we were talking about Big Name Bands, not hip hop bands.
Guy Lambardo was another one. Both of these people were BIG NAME BAND Directors.

Frank Sinatra. The guy had an excellent voice, fantastic style, and there are over 800 recordings to choose from so plenty of variety.
