Don't touch it anymore and it will heal. Whatever scar it leaves will fade over time. Vitamin E oil works good on scars.

Not really.
Once you've "popped" the pimple it's broken and will take time to heal. (Surface scaring will fade with time - skin replaces itself every 21 days.) Further, it depends on how you "popped" it. The less bruising and damage to the surrounding skin tissue - the quicker you'll heal and less chance of scarring!

Now that it's broken, hopefully you've got the worst of the pus out so leave it alone and stop picking at it or it WILL leave you scarred.

Keep your skin clean and don't get carried away scrubbing the scabs either with acne tonics/products. Let it all heal over the next 21 days. Applying a topical drying agent twice a day will help keep the site sterile and "clean" - unless it really is a huge zit with "roots" and you've opened a drain-way. (If that is the case, your zit will flare-up again and need to be "expressed" again. At this time you MUST make sure the thing is truly ripe before you tamper with it. Usual info - clean nails, wrap fingers with a hankey to prevent marking the skin, swab the site to sterilise). Piercing the centre of the site with a clean/sterile needle, sometimes reduces the bruising and scarring because the filth inside has an easy access route, so less pressure.

Topical scarring as in damaged skin, dark areas etc where you've squeezed zits will fade over time. Speed it up with a Salicylic product that'll take off the old/dead top layer of skin.
