The shield proves that long ago are the days where cop dramas only show the "peachy" black and white, good cop/bad cop. Vic Mackey keeps you on the fence on whether or not he is still the good guy! Awesome show.
If you love the Shield, you should watch Law and Order: Criminal Intent, its not even close to being the same type of drama as the Shield but its also something completely different.

I love the Shield and yes I think it is one of the best cop shows out there.
I like the Closer too, but that accent is driving me NUTS!!!
