Yes, and I quit hanging with that friend. My friend had become jealous of everything it was about me. She was jealous of my male friends because at the time she was in a relationship I really wasn't but I had a few guys I would hang out with and some other ones that were interested but I didn't care because I was always a cool *** female. Well, then she started to like not tell me when the guy I was really interested would call me or come by looking for me. Then she would ask him questions about our relationship that she should have been asking me. Then she decided that she didn't like the attention that I was getting so she always created arguments or called or texted me with bullshit until finally she moved out. We were still cool at first but then she decided to steal from me and I just couldn't deal with it anymore. So, I stopped accepting her phone calls and went on with my life.

It doesn't just happen when you're young either. It's happening to me and I'm in my early fifties and my friends range in age from late forties to sixties.
What I've done now is the friends who get along , we do things separately from the other person who doesn't get along with us. I do things with her individually or with some of her other friends.
It's human, not all people are going to get along at all times. And no-one says you HAVE to do everything together.
Perhaps your friend is jealous because she sees you encountering life and different people without her. She's probably more angry with herself than you because she thinks you'll leave her behind.
I tell my friends I have lots of different friends who like doing different things and I try to make some time to see them all, if not weekly then at least by email or on the phone. Lizzytish

i have lots of friends, sometimes it takes fights or misunderstandings or bad experiences to know which of your friends are really close to you, and which are the ones you can trust...........I'd say try to stay objective and not take sides, the truth will come out eventually~~and sorry to say sometimes after we find out the truth, we have to let some friendships go.
its all the same my mom once told me whether your young or old
