i have a black astra cast sink which i only bought in feb this year but the problem is its going white what can i do to restore it and why is it going like that. pleaze help me

Fill it up with 2/3's warm water and 1/3 white vinegar. Let it in there a couple of hours.

It sounds like lime deposit. If you also have a problem with water spots on your glasses or on your car after washing it, that would be it. If that's the case, you need a water softner to balance your waters ph. Once you have a water softner you will never want to go without it. You will be able to cut your soap use in half and a shower will make softer. And your sink will stay black.

One of the biggest problems with these sinks is that they have to be claned and dried totally after EVERY use. And who does that?

Your question as filled me with dread i have ordered a black astra
sink my new kitchen is getting fitted on the 21st,the tap filters the water maybe that will help.If not i will complain to the company.

It could be limescale from the water, try getting some kind of limescale remover from the supermarket, thats should do the job!

if you got it in feb this year,it should still be under warranty, contact the company and try to get a new one.

Call the company you got it from, if they can't help and it's bothering you that much buy a new one.

even though it's a sink.. you still have to clean them thouroughly after use lol
