New-conservatism was started by Senator Henry"Scoop" Jackson in the mid 60's. He was a Democratic Senator from Washington. Lately the neo-con label was taken over by the extreme right-wing of the Republican Party. For some reason Sen. Jackson's papers were taken from his library at the University of Washington by the FBI.

Sorry, you are wrong, neo con means new conservative, it is a sub set of Republicans. Democrats do not agree with neo-cons, neo-cons want the US to occupy and control all of the Middle East's oil fields, they have a document called America's New Century that sets out the whole plan.

Lacking your prescience, I have interpreted "neo con" to mean, "new conservative". The rest of the interpretation has unfortunately been obscured by a lot of rhetoric that doesn't make sense. Perhaps you could enlighten me. As a Democrat, I do want to conserve personal liberty, as well as the constitution, and I want to conserve the idea that everyone is equal in our society.
What's your definition of neo con?

Neoconservatism differs from other approaches to foreign policy. Check the source for more information on the historical origins of the current movement and how it differs from traditional liberalism.
