Well, CD's are a bit different than floppys. Once a normal CD is written, you can't change the data on it. You can't write files to it, you can only read them off of it. If your computer has a "CD-RW" drive, the rules change a little. You can buy a special "CD-RW" disc and run a program that can make that particular disc readable and writeable like a floppy. That program should be on your computer already if you have a CD-RW drive.
My guess is that you have a normal CD drive, in which case you can't write files onto the cds. A good alternative to that would be a "USB flash drive", a little keychain dongle that you can plug into a computer and use like a floppy. They are able to hold *far* more information than a floppy can.
Hope this answers your question. =)

You'll need some type of CD Burning software. Windows Media Player will do. Go to the burn tab, add the files you want put on the CD, and then press start, or burn.
Your computer may not have a CD Burner. Some computers, mainly older ones, just have CD readers, but cannot burn CDs. If you want to burn CDs, you can get a CD burner, external or internal, for like $20.

OK. You may only have a CD reader, rather than a burner.
Also, even with a burner you need software that helps you do that.
Nero seem s the most common, and is probably the best out there.
If you indeed have a reader only and want a burner, you may as well go for a DVD/CD burner. The best I know of at this time is the Pioneer 111, which you can get for $38.00 delivered through

If you have a CD-RW, then you can save stuff to CD's. But if you just have the basic CD drive, all you can do is load the data that's already on the CD's.

You should have a CD tray very visible on the computer. Another easy way is to open "My Computer". If you have a CD-ROM it will be there. It should also say whether it is a CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-RW. If you do not have one I would recommend going to www.dragon-pc.net. Talk to them. They can set you up with one that fulfills your needs.
