yes there is a horse STD. But horses are very unlikley to catch an STD. We are able to get STD's more easily because there are so many to catch.

Coggins is along this line if I remember correct. That why people required to have a coggins test every year and papers to show a Negative Coggins when Trailering the horse. I not sure of how this is transmitted I think it not just an std but makes for a good example that horses can have std's.

No, not in the way humans do. Mares are carefully checked. Thorobred farms require a live cover, and are dealing with stallions costing millions of dollers, with stud fees of $10,000-$40,000 and more, so you can be sure the mares have to be clean. The average book for a thorob. stallion is about 40 mares to be impregnanted between Feb 1 and June 1, the breeding season. Other breeds allow artificial insemination, and shipped seman.

Maybe... Why? Are you trying to have the first half horse, half human kid??
LOL
Please, spare the world and do not have THAT with a horse.
But if you are wondering because you want to breed them, then here is my answer: I am not sure, I doubt it but I am not a horse expert, so, maybe.
Ask a vet.

Yes they can and when you breed horses before you let the stallion cover the mare he is washed and has been tested for diseases.
The mare is also tested and she is washed too.
After they have been bred they are washed again.
