fat is hard fat and some peoples fat is soft and squishy? I know people that have hard fat, but I just had a baby and I still have baby fat and mine is soft. So does that mean that it is a different type of fat, or something?

There are two types of fat, but brown fat is really only found in infants. The reason adults have fat of different consistency is because the areas have different density of fat cells/vascular tissue/connective tissue, etc. Fat can even vary on one person from body area to body area.

Well, first of all, babies have baby fat.

Its all the same.

It just has to do with the muscles in the area and how they connect to the skin.

There are three layer separating the outside from the inside: the skin, fat and muscle wall.

The muscle wall has fibers which travel throught the fat to the skin to hold the skin taught and smooth.

Women have fewer of these binding fibers and are layed out differently in such a way that they canmake fat seem more exposed of softer. This is seen with cellulite.

Hard fat means there is muscle behind the fat
baby fat is the remains from carry your child, that should burn off easy

squishy or soft fat is just that fat, that is some times hard to get rid of like hard fat

Just fat. In a smaller area it can appear compact or hard generally that happens when the hard muscle is more than the fatty deposits. Check the meat at the local supermarket and you will have a frame of reference. Peace.

This one time I accidentaly jammed a pole into my leg by riding my bike into it. I rode my bike home after that and then my mom took me to the hospital. When the nurse was cleaning it, I saw what she said was fat. Fat looks like those little white beads that are contained inside of a hackey sack. Pretty cool huh?

Great question. I have been severly over weight and I had loose squishy fat. Where as my dad a a huge belly and it was hard to the touch. I guess it would denpend on your body type and you body mass content. Could be wrong. Please tell me if you find the correct answer.

It also depends on the muscle mass beneath the fat and whether it is developed or not.
