It's good that you recognize the fabulous souls produced in the USA. We, as a whole, are a nation of extraordinarily generous people. However, our government is filled with people that are interested in power, and absolute power ALWAYS corrupts, absolutely...
We have an imperfect government that has at times behaved imperialistically. However, it is still the greatest government in the world for instilling rights and responsibilities to people.

Peace.

Well you are right and you are wrong. Most Americans are great people, but you are wrong about them not raising their voices. Check the history of the Vietnam protest, the protest songs, the violence at some of the protest. Do research its interesting. Governments are not known for listening to its people on such matters unfortunately.

I would love to agree with you but the fact is almost a majority of people voted twice for the present evil government. There is no excuse. They committed an evil act, they are evil people. It is one of the great ironies that good governments produce good countries that prosper and survive, evil governments produce evil countries that wither and die--it is a universal law, we see it over and over in history. And now America is dying. Its economy is gone, its educational system is in ruins, its health system is a disaster, and its smartest scholars are fleeing the anti intellectual purge that numbskull conservatives are pushing. It was nice while it lasted. The American people failed, the fault is theirs.

It doesn't matter what you think is or is not a valid reason, America has not "invaded other countries without valid reason." Where are you from anyway? Probably some country that got stomped on by the USA.

That's correct as far as it goes. I ask myself how honest people of good will can put such administration(s) in place?
Is it because we have two oceans separating us from the rest of the world, and there is such a controlled media feeding us pap? And that we have become so parochial that we neither understand nor care about the rest of the world, or see it only on our terms?
I think so.

Absolutely! The United States is a gathering center for a lot of good, and yet it's also a massive core of evil at the same time.

Well, what do you expect from a country that was build on hyprocricy? "All men were created equal", my @$$.

sounds kinda right to me. Most politicians are good people, but right now the government seems to be under the control of big buisness. It really is sick and perverted
