But isn't what you've just said a sweeping generalisation? or just a paradox? Anyone who maked sweeping generalisations is usually mistaken. Emotive language is not a substitute for reasoned argument. Some people make generalisations because they can't be bothered to think, others because they don't know how to think and yet others because they want ot be annoying. Men and Women both suffer from these defects.

What does the question have to do with women? At least 75% of the people in this group make sweeping generalizations all the time. Some of them may be idiots. I think most are just willfully uninformed.

You just made a sweeping generalization...and then characterized all women by the term "idiots". I try to use the term "some" as I am aware no one can make a broad statement that applies to everyone...but this does not negate generalizations that do apply; when considering the masses. "Most men look" for example...it is true for most...but not all. It is therefore a safe assumption based on observation. There are idiots in every group, category, and range. You just demonstrated it for us by your statement...so thank you.
Oh, "Broad statement" was a pun...I do have a sense of humor!

The term "all" is too easy to write and so "everyone" gets lumped into "all" the generalizations quite easily.
