Im lead to believe that men generally dont want to discuss their problems with others but would rather be left to work it out for themselves, whereas us gals prefer to share our worries which I imagine is a much more healthy thing to do.
So what have you to say boys ??

i'm not a boy but i know what you are saying, as my ex would not say anything in the hope that it would go away or work itself out... when I fell pregnant it took him a week and a half to tell his family!
and when he wanted to break up, he just ignored me and said everything was fine when i asked him rather than dump me! took him two-three months to finally do it and then that was only because i called him up on his crappy attitude towards me!
(yes i am dumb)
but saying that, my dad pretty much says what he thinks so i guess like us women, it depends on the guy! as i am a woman and rarely share my feelings... so it is wrong to stereotype everyone based on gender

We prefer to "cave in" when we have a problem. Or, if you prefer, "go into our cave." The reason for this is that men are deathly afraid of getting in touch with their feminine side. Knowing we have female chromos circulating throughout our stud muffin bodies, we spend our lives trying to suppress the urge to emotionally splurge. It's the old slippery slope argument, "Once you.......... where will it end?" Ever see a guy eyeing that sexy black two strap sheath dress in the store? You think he's shopping for a wife or girlfriend, don't you. Wrong! It's fantasy time as he wonders how he would look if he lost 100 pounds and donned an Eva Gabor wig and did his own makeup. Then, in a minute, he realizes that he's a wannabe and he storms out of the store and goes to the nearest Nudie Bar and gets drunk. Such is the fate of the American male. And no doubt a big factor in a 50 plus percentage divorce rate.
My advice to men: Buy that dress (in a plus size if necessary) and announce to the world: "Look at me, I'm a.......really ugly woman....Oh, my God, mother, I thought you and dad were in Hawaii. Oh my God, I'm......undercover, mom, just joined the sheriff's department and I'm a decoy hooker." Mom, of course, will look her son over and reply something like, "Well, Johnny, I like the handbag but those shoes really don't work. Here, try mine. Isn't that better?"

That book is wonderful! Yes, they do go into THEMSELVES if not an actual cave when they have a problem, where as women talk it over with friends and family, hence home made therapy!
My theory is that this one of the reasons, there are so many little old women in church and in the Elderly Persons Homes...... they outlive the men! Simply because of this! Talk Talk Talk, its good for you!!!

I have read many of his books for many years (10+). The reason men do this - is get away from their partner due lack of understanding on their partner. So they just will go to their cave (walk, some favourite park/pub/cinema, or visit their friends). They hope their partner during separation will understand them and they may analyse the problem if it is in their side (most times no, sorry). This is very complex.

Some men do, some don't. That goes the same way with women. Not all women are talk it out, but the majority are. It depends also on how you go about it. Not all talks are healthy either. Constructed confrontation is very hard to do.

What a great book this was some of it was a bit obscure, but yes from personal experience men can be moody sods at the best of times let them get on with it and go hide in their cave, keeps them of your back who wants to look at a grumpy bloke!

The difference is that Men have got more to loose than Women if they show their weeknesses - the cave for example.

Historically speaking, if I have problem with a girlfriend, answer is New girlfriend.
I know this is terribly wasteful but I just think that with all those millions out there, why waste time on a defective situation.
Most times problem is my fault, but I am slowly climbing the learning curve !

All you females know that anything your man says when he is angry Can And Will Be Held Against Him at any time of your choosing. For that reason, I always found that it is best to clam up rather than say something I will be made to regret later.
Men are from Earth. Women are from Earth. Deal with it.

i do not agree consisting of your premises. a million: no longer all women human beings take care of all and sundry. 2: no longer all women human beings tolerate atrocities, humiliation, aggression, rape, and insults (the common woman does no longer). As you comprehend, no 2 women human beings are the same. even as some could properly be worrying, nurturing, and empathetic, there are others who're no longer.
