It's ok. I wouldn't say it's 'great', 'chilling', 'extremely thrilling', many people would describe it that way though. Indeed, many people seem to love it. It's easy to read, rather longish maybe for such kind of a not extremely challenging book. I myself started getting bored when it repeatedly took the protagonists some twenty pages or even more to decode a simple anagram I could decipher right away. I think I would have liked this book more ten years ago when I was in my early teens.
I haven't seen the movie yet but I'd like to - I have some suspicions that it could be one of those rare exceptions when the movie turns out better than the original book it's based on. Indeed, while I was reading the book I thought it could make a dynamic and thrilling movie more to my liking. Spending two hours of my life watching such a story would be fine, spending two days reading it was a bit too much.
Anyway, as I already said, it's generally ok.

it was a real page turner, although I don't necessarily believe that Jesus had kids. He may have had a wife and kids, he may not have. There is no proof either way. Maybe when he comes back - he'll let us know. If I were Jesus, and I had kids, I wouldn't want them to live in France- those people suck. I would want my kids to live in Ireland or America, or Australia. That's where the cool people live.

I really enjoyed it, it had a great intellectual story, with some action. I will not see the movie though, I am sure it was no where near as good as the book.

it sucks ***, lacks plot, and presents itself as a semi-historical book, meaning that the lack of plot should be forgiven for the historical information presented in the book, which is untrue for the most part. it misinforms people. it has a totally useless albino character for absolutely no reason. and it sucks. yes.

Fiction. Plain and simple. Dangerous doctrine for people who know nothing about the true and inspired word of God.
