Italy was the best all-around team it's that simple. France wasn't good enough. Seven Italian players were named to the FIFA all-star squad. That's more then any other team. No ones defense was better.
It's time for people to get over it and accept that Italy was the best team!

I have to admit that I was very disappointed at first, but I have come to accept it, and I recognise that some of Italy's players are quite terrific, so after all that, even though Italy will never be my favorite team, I still have come to kind of like them. They are fine, and now yes, I believe they won, but 2010 will be a different story.

yeah! that's the best thing that happened to me this year!!! i'm the italy fan since last championship, ok that's not so long, but I couldnt help crying when Italy won!! fantastic! others, please dont get jealous!! :) that was a fair play! 9th July..that was obviously my day! first of all Italy is il campiono del mondo (quattro!), then in the final game of wimbledon, my fave one Roger Federer beat that annoying Nadal! HURRAHH!

wow what a dumb question whats there not to believe? Zidane headbutted materazzi the ref saw it he got sent off big deal. In my opinion the italians deserved to win say whatever you want but in the end they only allowed two goals and never lost in my opinion thats a dams good job of proving it happened

portugal the best? hahahha... you got me laughing. 3-1 down to germany. can't even score a goal when you outplayed england. plus all the diving and stuff. don't forget portugal commited most fouls in the tournament. u should regard as lucky to be a 4th.
