Get your facts straight before making yourself look like an uninformed, right wing, dope. Perhaps this is simply your natural state of mind. So sad.

You're the same person who asked "who is the best kisser a black man or latino?"

Sir, you have truly shown us how ignorant you are ... and fat, too. A fat guy who manages a pizza parlor - lol! You really do fit the profile of a typical Neo-con! LOL!

I'll pray to your god tonight and ask that he gives you and your family a good dose of cancer.

Read the Bible sometime. Christians are commanded to kill those who work on Sunday, or who wear clothing made from two different types of cloth thread. Slavery is allowed, as is cutting off someone's hand for stealing.

Muhammad commanded, "Whoever relinquishes his faith, kill him." Well, betraying oaths and turning against your beliefs has to be at least as serious as going to work on Sunday. And both Christianity and Islam mete out the same punishment -- death.

But that doesn't mean all Christians actually try to follow those commands literally. Nor do most Muslims. Yes, there are few fanatics (in both religions) that go way over the top and act irrationally. Radical Islamic fundamentalists commit crimes and atrocities in the name of their religion. Just as there are Christians who kill homosexuals or bomb family planning clinics in the name of their faith. And let's not forget the Inquisition.

But for the remaining hundreds of millions of followers, both of these faiths are religions of peace. And blaming everyone for the actions of a minuscule few fanatics is not rational.

{Edit: In response to email from the asker}

Yes, I've read the Bible. Have you? Most Christian denominations follow both the Old and New Testament.

Look at the King James edition, either the earlier 1611 version or the modern Cambridge version. Or look at other translations used by Eastern Orthodox, or the Holman Christian Standard, or the New Living Bible, or the American Standard version. All contain all the books of the Old Testament (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy), with the same substantive content, in addition to the books of the New Testament.

So, saying the Old Testament is "the Jewish Bible" really doesn't do anything to help your argument, since it's flat out incorrect as a general statement.

Besides, Christians can't have it both ways. They can't quote from the Old Testament when it suits them and then say but "that's not the teachings of Jesus". Or if they do, it's because they're acknowledging that the actual text isn't always to be followed literally. Which is exactly the point I was making above.

Anyway, read some of the later gospels of the New Testament. Read Lamentations, or Samuel, or Kings, or ... etc. You'll see the same type of references. I just used the references above because more people would be familiar with them, so it's easier to make the point.

But thanks for asking.

You're stereotyping. People on the left whom I know know the truth about Islam. They know we will not be able to have peace as long as the Islamists use the Ummah as a premise for their government/religion.

I'm a Liberal, and I don't buy the hogwash that everybody born in this world is born to the Islamic yoke. I was not born a Muslim. I will not be a Muslim. I will not be put to the Islamic yoke. I will not become Dhimmi.

The premise of Ummah is an outright lie told by Muhammad to try and ensure his government/religion to last the ages. I'll say again, the Ummah is a lie.

I just answered your other question. this is just as empty. Liberals don't think that...you think Liberals think that.. You are not open minded. and are very nonintellectual. As a matter of fact i think you have a high degree of prejudicial thinking. Your questions are very right winged and fictitious. You are attributing things to the other side, because that's what YOU think they would say.

You can get anything you want from any holy book...there are people who use the Bible obscenely. No intelligent person would stereotype all Muslims as nice, evil, violent, short, fat, or tall...Muslims aren't even all Arab. Christians and Jews are all over the spectrum as well. There is a basic premise some Christians have that the holy land will be the final place of war. Armageddon is spoken of in the Bible, people want these big things to happen in their life times and some will do things to make these into self-fulfilling prophesies.

"If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods ... You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." (Deuteronomy 13:6,10 RSV)-------this is the saame statement as the one you supplied as indicating Muslims were not peaceful people

You have complained of liberals ignorant. You "sir" are ignorant. I will not answer any more of your questions

Im a Liberal and I know that Islam, and Christianity, are both death cults intent upon global conquest. When the basis of your faith is social conformity, you know you are in a cult. 'Conform or be Damned' is never heard in Buddhism, Hindu, Shinto, New Age Paganism, etc. Faiths from the Middle East are harmful to free society. Please find a real religion to become involved in.

People on the left of the political spectrum, by and large, are an empathetic sort. They feel for others and choose to believe in the basic goodness of humanity.

Because the "left" are Americans... and Americans don't KNOW history... their own or anyone elses...

You are right, though... why anyone can believe that a group of people who reward the killing of innocent women and children with 72 virgins in the afterlife for the murderer, is beyone me.

Simple. They would have nothing to oppose the right. That would be too intelligent for them to figure out.
