why are clothes sizes altering surely an inch or millimeter is the same length all over the world

Because everyone is Changing i mean the Average uk's size is a 16 when it use to be a size 10 or 12

are they? cos we are all getting taller and stronger. Garment manufacturers are still using outdated 1950s measurements when people were smaller and much thinner due to the rationing of the war. Perhaps they are coming into line with modern people.

an inch is not the same as centimetre, 1centimetre=0.3937 of an inch.try not to work with both, we are suppose to be metric. confused yes so am i. good luck.ajw.
