Some people like AMDs other's like Pentium

AMD Athlon is the best of the three, typically.

The Semprons are their lower-tier product.

Intel Pentium processors are typically weaker per dollar than Athlons. Pentium processors use more volts and therefore emit more heat than Athlons as well, making cooling options more expensive and lowering the life-expectancy of your system as a whole.

Some minor chip architecture, bottom line is AMD is cheaper to purchase. I have been building systems for years and I havent had one AMD failure yet. Until Intel comes down in price I will stay with AMD TOO!
