You had Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendegrass, Barry White, Bobby Womack, Ohio Players, O' Jays, Manhattans, Temptations, and so many other groups of solo and group artists. The groups and solos of today. They act sweet and gay acting. They weren't manly or masculine in how they came off towards women in their songs. Now it's a lot of please this and please that and I'm so sorry, whiny voices that are annoying like little school boys. Jagged Edge, Chris Brown, and a lot of new groups and solo artists nowadays.

I agree with u. Also, we have to remember that today's r & b artist are all about image. Old school artists like Marvin Gaye, Temptations, etc... could actually sing versus the artists today like Jagged Edge(they sound terrible live!). I'm 22 but I listen to more old school than this new school music.
