It all started with a headnote written by the clerk of the Supreme Court dealing with Santa Clara v Southern Pacific Railroad Company 1887. With that headnote he said the the Court gave corporations the rights of person-hood under the 14th Amendment. The court never ruled on that but it has become precedent since then. And these rights don't apply to churches unions or charities. And since then there have been several Supreme Court rulings solidifying it. One is The First National Bank of Boston v Bellotti 1978 that ruled that corporations had 1st Amendment rights of Freedom of Speech, but since they didn't have mouths they could donate money to political campaigns. That ruling opened the floodgates to what we have now.

Because the PEOPLE who own it decide to name it that to get more money. Corporations are not made of magic demons out to get you. They are made of PEOPLE. Crazy huh? Alot of them didn't even start out rich they got and education and advaced.

PEOPLE for the most part are allowed to name things they own what ever they want. Who is the govenment or you to tell those PEOPLE that they need to name something they own after someone famous?
