netscape security?

i am thinking of switching to netscape 8.0 because internet explorer is throwing up errors every couple of days
i am using avast anti-virus,and spybot,adaware for spyware protection
will these still protect me in netscape or can someone recommend a better program

Instead of Netscape use Firefox, this will is almost the same code and will still be protected by your current programs
