The singer is Israel Kamakawiw'ole, who sadly passed away in 1997 at age 38. His rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow/Wonderful World' is the most beautiful ever recorded. I first heard it during an episode of ER about 5 years ago (when Dr. Green died) and was haunted by it...now listen to the music of Iz (as he is/was affectionately known) when I need peace and soothing. Might it be Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World? I understand that Kellogg's is using Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of it in a Rice Krispies commercial
