He has a cell phone and it is always on and in use. He has his own home and a home phone. Why does this woman insist on calling my house. Its not an emergency. It is irritating and she never mentions the kids
He almost died 3 years ago and she beat me to the hospital 130 miles away. I called to see how he was doing and his other grown kids from a previous marriage handed her the phone. This is irritating. What do you suggest? The older kids cannot accept his divorce from this woman.

I never met him or her until after they were divorced. I went to a concert at the school for his kids and he introduced me there. She turned her back to me and never even aknowledged me. I had no part in their split. I am not sure, but I think she was fooling around with a guy I know.

My phone number is listed in the public directory. Anyone can find it to call me. She has re-married and I cannot believe her husband puts up with it.

What you didn't say was whether your man is your husband or a boyfriend. Sounds more like a boyfriend. It seems that the problem here is that your "man" is divorced but his ex-wife isn't, at least not in her mind. If your man has his own home, I am curious as to how the ex has gotten your fone#. This is something that you need to talk with your man in depth and find out where he stands in the whole picture. There is nothing wrong with being friends with an ex, but sounds like she is a control freak and needs help. Maybe a little of "Play Misty for Me" could be here.

This is only a problem if it bothers you, and apparently it does. I would almost bet that if you stopped letting it bother you, the calls would cut back. I think she is just being vindictive by calling your house. Were you the reason they split up? A few things you could try... forget to pay the house phone bill... accidentally cut the ringer off... try to get out of the house more. When someone makes you mad or irritates you, they have control over you... stop letting her control you!

That women does not have the right to your telephone number, no matter what.
Get a caller id. Every time she calls, direct every number of hers to the answer. Then you don't listen to what she has to say on the machine. Just simply delete it out immediately.

Why does his ex-wife has your telephone number?
Your man has a cellular phone as well as a home phone.
His ex-wife is harassing her by insisting on calling your house. As time goes on, the ex-wife will start stalking you.

You need to cut off all communicating and connecting with his ex-wife in every possible way.

well you should let him know that you don't like her calling your house and to tell her to call his cell not your house. She still needs to be a part of his life because she had kids with him so you should just let her trust your husband not to cheat on you and just relax once the woman sees that it doesn't bother you she will stop.

Umm, yes? Evidently ya'll dont live together, there's no reason for her to have any contact with you. If it doesnt involve the kids, her plans for the kids, or her dieing and needing somone to take the kids, there is no reason she should call your house. I would deffinatly say something to her. He has a phone, she can call it.

The problem here is the calls from the ex wife.
Talk to your husband about it.
Then talk to the ex wife - file for harassment if the calls don't stop.

Sounds like this lady has problems. Plus, she is probably only trying to harrass you...

When someone calls and I don't want to talk to them, I just pretend that something is very wrong with my phone line. You know, just make alot of static-y noise and then hang up on them.

Ask him to have her refrain from calling you unless it's an emergency. That is fair to you and she can call his cell if she want him. He needs to stop this if he really cares about you and your feelings!

Good Luck!
