Which is better? It depends on your preference. I love Rugby. I love the mix of physicality and skill. I love football more than life itself, but there's nothing better than spending an afternoon in a pub on a Six Nations saturday. It's one of life's real pleasures. I have a cricket fanatic friend who claims cricket's the best sport on Earth. Though I see the attraction, I could never sit through five days of the same game just to see it end as a draw. I can appreciate the immense skill involved in cricket and the tactical aspect, but unless it was a huge event like an Ashes series, I wouldn't bother trying to sit and watch because I know I'd never last. It's much more interesting if you're betting on it though. Most Popular? World-wide? Has to be cricket just because the Indians love it so much. There's well over a billion cricket fans in the sub-continent alone between India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Though Rugby's played in roughly the same amount of countries, they tend to be less populated countries like Wales, Scotland, Ireland. The largest rugby nation on Earth is South Africa. It's also a cricket nation, yet isn't anywhere near the most populated cricket nation on Earth. Cricket's more popular world-wide.

Both sports are very good to watch it depends on what a person likes football or rugby both are exciting to watch
