I signed divorce with no legal counsel...now, my one child has turned 18 and abruptly my ex stopped his child support even though he promised me (I have it in emails) that he would keep paying it until the other child turned 18 so as not to disrupt standard of living for the younger child who is 16....Is there any way I may be successful in taking him back to court for more money or to extend the alimony or something??? So we don't lose our home? He HAS MONEY...I work full time...but I can't pay for college for my 18 year old and he is not helping with that either and all of a sudden decides to stop paying me the prior full support. I will go talk to an attny...but does anyone have any experience with something like this...we live in Georgia.

I don't get it. He's paying child support ALL THESE YEARS and you still want more and you really think that's it ok.

Why is it women in this country don't have self respect for themselves to get a job and not live like leeches off of dudes ???

Your child is 18 years old. She' s an adult. Tell her to get her *** a job and a better role model than her mother and HANDLE HER BUSINESS.

You can request the court to honor your ex's email commitment to continue child support unti the last kid is 18. Also, if the older child is still living at home, you can tell him to go to college and request the court to have the ex pay for the college tuition and fees. It's OK to ask the court for things that you aren't sure about. They are usually understanding and usually in the favor of protecting the children. Good Luck
