Go for a walk, but take someone with you.

You can try sex. There is an element in semen that will help thin the cervix. Nipple Stimulation will release hormones that will make you have contractions. Raspberry tea (must be real and not synthetic) will work sometimes. My midwife suggested Eggplant Parmigiana, and that did the trick with me. She also suggested castor oil, but only as a last resort. Good luck!!

Wow..Drink plenty of fluids and walk. Studies say that sexual intercourse may speed things up a bit but I don't think it applies as there are already contractions. There is no magic way to speed up these contractions unless you are in the hospital and they give you medication to quicken the contractions and move the labor along. Good luck

There are many ways to speed up contractions. The number one way is lots of walking. You could have sex, eat real licorice, clean your system out with castor oil, but you should check with your midwife first on all these things. Another thing is to do squats to help open up cervix, but be careful not to wear yourself out with to many things, because you will need all your strength to deliver baby. In the long run, baby will come when it is ready! Nipple stimulation is also another way to bring on contractions.

sex is not the answer if you are already in labor..but orgasms defiantly, manually preferable...that's what my obgyn told me with all 3 of my kids, because i was 2 weeks late with all of them..also walk walk walk..and walk some more..the gravity will help you dilate quicker..but for most people, it doesn't matter what you do, your body wont dilate before it's time with out something like patocine. Nipple stimulation is another way..but it's not practicle, you would have to do it for hours at end..and honestly im sure your nipples are quite sensative already.

I know this is going to sound kind of weird but take a laxative or some thing of that sorts and you will go right into hard labor because of all the pushing you will do. My friend did and she had the baby the next day.

I would like to say sex is the answer, but honestly, my wife was 5 days overdue with our son and she did EVERYTHING to try and speed things along. Absolutely nothing worked. When the baby is ready, he or she will come.
