It is yet another tool in the chain of modernity. Boon as long as utilized, curse if misused. Of its own, it is just an aid to serve.
It is the human which can turn it as a boon or a curse. Live examples are in plenty around us. A sick mind or vested interest would take no time to use this tool against the norms or ethics or negative utilization; same way good souls would see that they get best out of it to serve humanity and the good causes.

Boon definitely. i lost contact with my school n college friends after marriage. my daughters stay connected with their friends n family over the net. suprisingly have rediscovered some of my old friends through the net now spread far n wide globally.
