I, as a mother of 5 myself, ask my husband that all the time. I've noticed he treats his friends and co-workers with more respect. He talks to them like they are the greatest people on earth.
My husband had a woman he used to work with text him not too long ago. It went back and forth for over ten minutes. I was offended because I was sitting right there being ignored.
When we are at home, if someone calls me, I let the phone ring so I can spend time with my husband. He on the other hand answers the phone when it's one of his buddies and leaves me sitting there.
I know all too well how it feels and I've never been able to figure it out.
My husband has his id on here, and his question was "Is it mean to ignore my wife when I don't want to talk to her?" What does that tell ya?
Guess what I do now? I sit here and bs with other people and leave him sitting by himself. Love hurts and sometimes it's just not fair.
Drop me line sometime if you want to let out some steam, screensiren1@msn.com.

My husband doesn't talk much. We've been together 4 years and he's starting to talk more with my parents. He's quiet around my friends, but talks a lot with his. I don't think he tells his friends any more than he tells me, especially about feelings.
Maybe there are other ways of asking how his day went? Maybe let him know you care for him and would like to know how his day was, ask if there's anything you can do for him?

yes i have the same thing happening in my marriage. Most of the things i over hear him talking about is his job, which he is a truck driver, so he talks to his truck driving friends, i guess he assumes that i wouldn't care or that i wouldn't know what he was talking about, which that is partly right, but sometimes he talks about things that i need to know, for example he may say something like "i can't go Friday because were grilling out for my grandmothers birthday, something that he should have told me, which of course i knew nothing about. when things like this happen it ticks me off. I'm not sure why they do things like that, but my man has been this way the entire eight years that we have been together

Ohhhhh you got a husband of 9 years old. How strange.
Whats up with that? Whats up with that, is that you have got a husband of 9 years old.
He probably doesnt talk to you anymore because he discovered you are too old for him thats the reason.
