The easiest way to stop them is to ignore them. It's also the classy way.

You can not stop rumors however much you may try. Just do not care. Conduct yourself in a way such that sooner or later people will know all the rumors are wrong. One word of caution. Drugs are killers without mercy. Be sure to keep off and get help from self help groups like NA if you have slightest doubts.

Unfortunately, you can't. Sometimes the more you deny them, the more people will believe they are true.

Rumors really don't hurt. They may be uncomfortable to live with, especially if very petty minded people have nothing better to do with their lives than to speculate and gossip about other people, and keep asking you about them, or talk behind your back, but loud enough to hear.

If you and your girlfriend are happy in your relationship, then they may be jealous and trying to break you up for their own selfish, dumb reasons.

Ignore the rumors, don't defend or justify yourself. If someone asks you to confirm or deny, laugh at them, and say why do you - emphasis on the you - need to know.

If they think you are laughing at them, they may find some other rumors to spread, because they won't understand and what people don't understand, they may fear.

You probably won't stop the rumors. But I wouldn't worry about them. It's just talk. If you really respect her and know her for a nice woman, you shouldn't really care about what other people say. Hang in there and a little while later they'll stop their chattering.

You're going to have to quit paying attention to rumors. There isn't really any way to control what other people say or do. The only way you're going to be able to deal with this is if you quit letting what others think bother you.

Stop reacting to them. If you give people the impression that your girlfriends business and your business is none of their business, sooner or later they'll get the idea.

Ignore them and be with the one you care about.People will always talk but talk is cheap. She has already shown you that she's changed so give her your love and respect and be there for her.
